Rascal Running
A race against the disappearing light.
Beginning in the warmth of late afternoon, the visuals would gradually become darker, faster and more mysterious as the runners move deeper into the forest. The camera would alternate between energetic group movement, isolated moments with individual runners and detailed glimpses of the Rascal apparel in motion. Natural twilight would be combined with controlled flashes of light to create something raw, surreal and slightly unpredictable.
The Concept
As daylight disappears, we find a group of runners racing deeper into the forest, each of them hungry to win. The prize: a Rascal Running top floating somewhere ahead, revealed only through flashes between the trees. As the runners push further into the forest, the sunlight fades, the trail becomes darker and stranger, and their speed continues to build. Moving between playful competition and growing tension, we follow them as they break away, fall behind and fight for position before converging for one final sprint toward the product. The result is a surreal twilight campaign that puts Rascal at the centre of the chase and feels distinctly different from traditional running content.
This is an initial creative direction designed to start the conversation. I’d love to develop the idea alongside Rascal, particularly around the hero product, location, runners and the content the brand would find most valuable.
